The power of sharing your story.

Dr Viktor E. Frankl wrote in his 1946 book Man's Search for Meaning, that the “meaning of life is to give life meaning”. But how do you give life meaning? What is the point of all of this? What is your purpose? These are all difficult questions to answer.

However, if you break life down to its essence, there's this one thing in life that ties us all together. This one thing is: WORDS. The world around us is shaped by words, it is shaped by stories. More importantly, these stories can change the way we see the world.

We as people tell stories since human existence. I mean, if you think about it — most of what we post on social media is a story, a story that shows the better side of our lives. Even companies tell stories to get us interested in their stuff. Nike is about pushing boundaries, overcoming obstacles, and achieving greatness. While Apple is for those who challenges the status quo, those who think different, it's for the individuals that do things in unique and creative ways. But we all have beautiful stories to tell. Stories that have the potential to connect with people, to teach them something, or give them hope...

The storeis you have can be told in so many ways. Some tell their story through music, others through paintings, some use writings, others use videos. Some even use products to tell a story. So if you have no clue what to do with your life then think about your story. What is the story that you want to tell? Maybe it's a story to educate people or a personal story to inspire people. Whatever your story may be, in today's world it can be shared in many ways. Think about platforms like: X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Medium, Spotify or even face to face.

However, even though everyone has a story, not everyone feels confident enough to share their story. Some people doubt themselves, others worry about what people will think, and some are just scared of being judged. The fact is telling your story can be a daunting task, because it's like you're opening yourself up to be judged by the whole world. But even if it feels scary, your story matters! Your story can change your life and maybe even someone else's.

So if you're not sure what to do with your life, think about the story you want to tell. Think about how you want to tell it.

Cheers.
